- From the A1, take the A64, then the A1036 signposted York West.
- Follow signs for city centre.
- When you pass the Marriott Hotel on the right, take the next turning right. Follow Knavesmire Road/Campleshon Road to the end.
- Go left into Bishopthorpe Road and Hillcrest Guest House is half a mile on the right.
Free private parking is available.
From York train station:
When you arrive at York train station, go to the main entrance. Turn right and follow Queen Street (over bridge). At the traffic lights go straight over into Nunnery Lane (left side is a car park). Go to the end of Nunnery Lane and turn right into Bishops Gate, and straight on into Bishopthorpe Road. We are on top of the hill, on the left.
By Bus
Take bus number 11 to Bishopthorpe and exit at South Bank. Quick description Just 10 minutes' walk from the city centre and York Racecourse, Hillcrest Guest House is set within an elegant Victorian town house built in 1870.
Hillcrest boasts a beautiful position – backing onto the beautifully landscaped Rowntree Park, consisting of formal gardens and a lake. Beyond is the River Ouse and the delightful riverside walk into town.
Privately-owned and run, you can be assured of a friendly welcome on arrival before you venture out into the city to explore the nearby attractions, such as York Minster, the Railway Museum, the Theatre Royal and much more. Important information Payment
We prefer payment of your final account by debit card, cash or cheque. If paying by cheque, this should be made payable to ‘Hillcrest Guest House’. Payments by credit card carry a 2% surcharge.
Damage
In the event of damage to Guest House property, we reserve the right to charge to replace, repair or professionally clean the item concerned. There will be a charge of £15.00 for lost keys.
