Travel information
By Underground:
The hotel is at Borough tube station on the Northern Line, which is 1 stop after London Bridge station. There is no need for a taxi as the hotel is next door to the station entrance.
By Train:
The nearest mainline station is London Bridge. Waterloo station and the Eurolink are 3 stops away from the hotel.
From the airports:
- The Gatwick Express takes you straight to Victoria station.
- From here, take the underground (Victoria west line) to Stockwell Tube station.
- Change for the Northern Line northbound to Borough underground station.
The Heathrow Express takes you to Paddington station.
- From here, take the underground (Bakerloo southbound line) to Elephant and Castle tube station.
- Change for the Northern Line northbound (one stop only) to Borough underground station.
From Stansted Airport:
- Take the train to Liverpool Street mainline station.
- Change for the underground westbound Central Line to Bank station (one stop only).
- Change to the Northern Line southbound to Borough tube station (2 stops).

London City Hotel offers modern accommodation next door to Borough Tube Station, and a 5-minute walk from London Bridge Rail Station. Tower Bridge is a 10-minute walk away.
It has modern, well furnished rooms, with a TV for guests to use. Most of the rooms have en suite facilities, with a power shower. Basic rooms have a washbasin in the room and a shared bathroom.
Waterloo Train Station and the Eurotunnel link are near to the hotel. Guy's Hospital is a 5-minute walk away, and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern can both be reached in around 10 minutes on foot.
The London City Hotel does not have an elevator. Important information
Any bookings made for a total of 4 or more room nights need to be paid in full 7 days prior to the arrival day. This booking will then become non-refundable and unchangeable.
The reception is open until 22:00. If arriving later than this, you must telephone the hotel before 22:00.
The restaurant is closed on Sundays. No breakfast is available at the hotel on Sunday mornings.
