Visit Glasgow
The Kelvingrove Art Gallery is Glasgow and Scotland's premier museum and art gallery. The building houses one of Europe's great civic art collections. Since its refurbishment the museum is the most popular free to enter visitor attraction in Scotland, and the most visited museum in the United Kingdom outside London. It is located on Argyle Street, in the West End of the city, on the banks of the River Kelvin (opposite the architecturally similar Kelvin Hall, which was built in matching style some years later, after the previous hall had been destroyed by fire). It is adjacent to Kelvingrove Park and is situated immediately beneath the main campus of the University of Glasgow on Gilmorehill.

Glasgow Cathedral, also called the High Kirk of Glasgow or St Kentigern's or St Mungo's Cathederal, is today a congregation of the Church of Scotland in Glasgow. The title cathedral is honorific and historic. The congregation is part of the Church of Scotland's Presbytery of Glasgow. Glasgow Cathedral is located north of High Street and east of Cathedral Street, beside the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The City Chambers (built 1882-90, architect William Young) of Glasgow are the headquarters of Glasgow City Council, the largest local authority in Scotland, and were completed in 1889. Located on the eastern side of the city's George Square, Queen Victoria performed the inauguration ceremony in August 1888, and the first Council meeting was held in October 1889. The buildings are an eminent example of Victorian civic architecture.
The University of Glasgow was founded in 1451, in Glasgow, Scotland. One of Scotland's ancient universities and the fourth-oldest in the English-speaking world, the University is one of seventeen British higher education institutions ranked amongst the top 100 of the world.
Glasgow School of Art (GSA) is one of four independent art schools in Scotland, situated in the Garnethill area of Glasgow. It is regarded as one of the most prestigious institutions in the world for the study of art and design.
