Set in its own quiet gardens, it was built by King Edward VII in 1877 for his mistress, Lillie Langtry. Some are located in Langtry Lodge, Lord Derby's former home, just 50 metres from the Manor. Langtry's restaurant has an AA Rosette and offers a 6-course Edwardian banquet every Saturday. It is lit by chandeliers, and has an original fireplace for the colder months. Guests can use the nearby gym, pool, hot tub and sauna free of charge. Bournemouth centre is around a mile from the building.
