The Hotel Garni Muralto is an excellent place to stay in Locarno – Switzerland. The hotel is located very close to the Piazza Grande, where most of the major tourist attractions reside. Guests can visit the Castello Visconteo, which is a castle built in the 12th century, however only the foundation remains from the original structure. The rest of what is left is mainly from the 15th and 16th century. There is a lot of history to this castle and it is a very interesting site to explore. Other sites include the sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso, and the Astrovia Locarno, a to scale model of the solar system. Once your day of exploration in Locarno has come to an end, you can enjoy the amenities at the Hotel Garni Muralto. This includes a lovely bar, where you can have a drink, an open breakfast room where you can enjoy that most important meal of the day, and a conference room, where you can handle any business you may have. Just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, you will find a restaurant, which serves Italian and international specialties, a sandwich shop, and an ice cream shop.
