The Youth Hostel of Verbania is set in a magnificent nineteenth-century villa on Castagnola hill, the green heart of Verbania, just a short walk away from the town centre, and is surrounded by about 3,000 square metres of gardens.The enchanting view of Lake Maggiore and the Borromeo Islands that can be enjoyed from Ostello di Verbania reveals just part of the evocative and unforgettable landscape distinguishing the whole neighbourhood of Verbania.Verbania is the capital town of the small Italian province, overlooking Lake Maggiore to the south and protected by the Lepontine Alps to the north.All of this extraordinary beauty was a source of inspiration to some great writers, poets and artists who dwelled and lived in these wonderful locations in the first decades of the twentieth century.To overnight in this Hostel is required the membership card of International Hostelling.
