The apartment is located in Viale Trastevere 70, just a short walk from the church of Santa Maria in Trastevere. Also within walking distance, but on the opposite side of the River Tiber, which can be crossed using Ponte Garibaldi, lie some of the most beautiful spots in Rome: Piazza Farnese, Campo dei Fiori, the Pantheon, the Jewish quarter, the Campidoglio and Piazza Navona. Saint Peter’s church is only a 15 minute walk away. The area is extremely well served by public transport with a state-of-the-art tram line (N° 8) running to both Largo Argentina and Trastevere Station (for trains to Fiumicino airport).The Trastevere District is characterised by the lively night-life. Its medieval small roads in which you can breath the authentic popular mood exalted by poets like Belli and Trilussa, contain restaurants, cafes, and piano bar, but also owns plenty of high artistic value monuments like the churches of Santa Maria in Trastevere endowed with the most important medieval mosaics of Rome, Santa Cecilia, San Crisogono, the ancient San Cosimato hospital with its Claustrum besides the principles palaces Corsini, the Farnesina with the Raffaello paintings, the botanical garden, the several libraries and art galleries.
