Sand dunes and thick pine-woods are only 2 km away from Quercesecca, one of the most ancient farms in Maremma Grossetana, close the beaches of Marina di Grosseto. A long pine avenue leads to Fattoria and Podere Umberto, two large brick-worked and stoned houses, where guests are accommodated in comfortable apartments, surrounded by wide green areas equipped with tables and chairs, playground (swing and slide), barbecue. Further from the farm’s centre but closer to the seaside there are the Casetta, the Glicine and the Rosmarino, three small detached cottages, ideal to enjoy privacy (located near the street to the seaside). Quercesecca is an ideal start point for people loving nature and sports: the bike track connecting Marina di Grosseto to Grosseto; a riding-ground (Cavallo Natura) 1 km away; the ports of Marina di Grosseto and Castiglione della Pescaia, ideal shelters for sailing boats; the natural parks Diaccia Botrona (10 km far away) and Parco dell’Uccellina (24 km. far away). Culture and nature offer a large choice of daily sightseeing: archaeological sites (Roselle, Vetulonia, Sovana), ancient medieval villages in the hinterland ( Massa Marittima , Saturnia and Pitigliano), archaeological museums (Grosseto and Cosa). Further to that, it’s very easy to reach Siena (75 km away) and Florence (145 km away). The check-in of arrivals at Quercesecca will be carried out at the farm Razza del Casalone.
