The health and spa resort Braunlage and the Teutonia Hotel are located in the Harz National Park. The mountain of Braunlage is the 971 meter-high Wurmberg, the highest mountain of Lower Saxony. The healing climate, the beautiful countryside, the central location of the Teutonia Hotel in Braunlage and the many recreational activities make it an attractive destination for Harz tourists. In and around Braunlage, there are numerous recreational opportunities, such as ice-skating in the ice rink, swimming and sauna, tennis, hiking and Nordic walking, mountain biking in all forms, downhill skiing, tobogganing on illuminated slopes, concerts, events etc.
