The Zarenhof is a new hotel located not far from the city center of Berlin and very close to the central train station and the Nordbahnhof. Zarenhof means court of the czars; the hotel is dedicated to the memory of the last Russian zar, Nikolai II, and his family. He was not only politically tied to Germany, but also through family relations: his wife was a German princess from the dynasty of the dukes of Hessen–Darmstadt, and they used to spend a lot of time in Berlin.
