Come to the Grünau Hotel, Berlin to see a different side of Germany’s capital. Its 8 air-conditioned meeting rooms are well equipped to host professional gatherings. A renovated 1904 pharmacy called Dittmanns Drogerie (Dittman’s Drugstore) has been converted into a charming pub where hot meals are served throughout the day; guests can eat on the terrace overlooking forests and parks in the summertime. Among the other hotel facilities are a Finnish sauna, a massage room, and a 2-lane bowling alley. The hotel is located in the area called Grünau, which is part of the Berlin borough of Treptow-Köpenick. It borders on the Grünau Forest (Försterei Grünau) and is within walking distance of the shores of the large lake called the Langer See. Passenger ferries leave from Wassersportallee and cross the River Müggelspree to Müggelbergallee in Köpenick on the opposite shore. Köpenick is worth visiting for its charming Old Town (Altstadt) and its Renaissance castle (Schloss Köpenick), which houses a museum of the decorative arts (Kunstgewerbemuseum). The Grünau Hotel is 1.5 km/0.9 mile from the Berlin-Grünau railway station, where numerous S-Bahn lines offer regular service to the Berlin city centre. The Line 68 tram was named by the National Geographic Society as one of the 10 Great Streetcar Routes of the world for its picturesque scenery.
