In the heart of historic Paris
Nestled between three of the most famous squares in Paris: Concorde, Vendôme and Madeleine, the Castille Paris benefits from an exceptional location in the heart of historic Paris at number 33 in the famous Rue Cambon.
The present Rue Cambon was built in 1719, joining the Jardin des Tuileries to the great boulevards. At that time, typical large 18th century private residences surrounded large courtyards. In 1910 Coco Chanel established her first workshops, which are still there today, at number 31, thus gaining world-wide recognition for the street in the 20th century.
Rooms
The recent interior alterations made in 2005 and the collection of 18th and 19th century works of art give intimacy and elegance to this 18th century private residence which has consequently retained its original soul and charm. The 86 rooms and 21 duplex & suites, mostly overlooking the patio, offer either a traditional Venetian inspired atmosphere or an elegant contemporary atmosphere.
The charm of the Castille Paris lies in its arrangement in two distinct wings, each offering a different atmosphere but both ensuring comfort and peace and quiet.
The luminosity in the rooms and suites, the soft, restful colours, the sound insulation and air conditioning guarantee the most complete feeling of well-being throughout your stay.
The suites and contemporary rooms on the 5th and 6th floors of the Opera wing, some with balconies, benefit from magnificent views over the rooftops of Paris. These rooms and suites have a very simple and elegant style following straight, pure lines. The light oak floor and lilac velvet blend perfectly with light coloured leather hangings. One or two more classical touches punctuate the contemporary harmony to offer a very refined and gracious atmosphere. A collection of photos of the capital at the beginning of the last century adds the final touch to a very Parisian residence.
The gentle lighting in the Carrara marble bathrooms invites you to relax and wind down. The Italian inspired mirrors, framed by two neo-classical lights, are placed above the large washbasins next to which there is a good selection of Bulgari body care products.
The Venetian inspired rooms and suites in the Opera wing evoke baroque Italy. Hung with pale green, salmon or brick red silk, they abound in precious fabrics.
The Rivoli wing, decorated by Jacques Grange, combines elegance and sobriety with a French style classicism in which the caned armchairs, the pearl grey tiled bathrooms and the black and white photographs by Doisneau are reminiscent of Paris in the thirties.
