Discover Cannes

The Cannes Film Festival, first class hotels and shaps, conventions attracting professionals from all over the world, all this makes the winning trio of Cannes.

Îles de Lérins - Cannes

Take the time to stroll along the Croisette and its hotels and especially its four star “de luxe” hotels. Walk in the shadow of the palm-tress and you will enjoy the exceptional panorama offered to your eyes: A unique bay on the West side bordered by the foothills of the Estérel mountains with their contours in the sky direction Théoule sur mer and on the East side by the Lérins islands, every year visited by 300 000 tourists enjoying the peace and calm.

Palais des Festivals - Cannes

Today’s Cannes with its high-branded shops, conventions or the Cannes film festival, the meeting place of the international film industry, has not forgotten what is charm was about: The luxury first class hotels.

The Croisette hosts some of the most beautiful “de luxe” hotels, from the most classic to the most modern one, without forgetting the hotels built in the 30ties.

The Carlton Hotel is the most ancient and prestigious one, a four star luxe hotel built in 1911, an exceptional jewel in the real heart of the city centre, only a hundred metres away from the Convention Centre which hosts the International Cannes Film Festival. The most famous stars put up at the Carlton Hotel. And this hotels prepares its future: The façade has completely been renovated and a conference space of about 1000 m2 called “Zephyr” bound to host international conferences was opened.

The Martinez Hotel, a jewel of the ”Art Déco” style, located on the East side of the Croisette, has completely been renovated in the 80ties, by conserving its proper style.

The Majestic Hotel dating from the so-called “Années folles” (30thies) is just opposite to the Convention Centre.

Thanks to its “garden of haven” , the Grand Hotel is protected from the noise of the city centre. Another first class hotel is the Gray d’Albion Hotel with its contemporary architecture just some dozens of meters away from the Croisette and its crowd.

And finally, the most recent one, the Noga Hilton, built in 1992, with its 12 top modern conference rooms and an auditorium which can host more than 800 persons. This hotel is the meeting place of the American show biz during the Cannes Film Festival.

An absolute recommendation is to stroll on this pleasant promenade in the moon-light. But there are also other places to discover.

For more than 50 years, the reputation of Cannes has been made thanks to organization of prestigious international events:

The unique Cannes Film Festival, that generally takes place at the end of the month of May when the most mystic stars climb the stairs on the red carpet of the convention Centre.
