The Pic du Ger projects over the town. Lourdes has a 55 ha lake. The National and Animal Park of the Pyrennees, the Gavarnie circus and the Pic du Midi a little further away are situated in the area. Small, well-known, famous city, on a river, in the countryside. In the resort: shopping centre, shops. Besides: chemist. Access: motorway A64, exit number 12 "Tarbes-Ouest". Railway station in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Lourdes-Tarbes (lde) 10 km, Pau (puf) 40 km.
